Callshake Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs all access to and use of Callshake’s products and services (the “Services”).
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP, the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations.
Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, forfeiture of credits, restriction of access, and referral to appropriate authorities where required.
1. Purpose of This Policy
This AUP exists to:
- Protect users and the public from harm, fraud, and abuse
- Maintain network integrity and service reliability
- Comply with global telecom, payment, and regulatory obligations
- Reduce risk to Callshake, its partners, carriers, and processors
This policy applies to all activity on the platform, including calls, messaging, caller ID usage, account creation, payment behavior, device activity, and interactions with support.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Services for any unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or high-risk activity, including but not limited to the following.
2.1 Illegal, Fraudulent, or Unlawful Activity
You may not use the Services to:
- Violate any local, national, or international law or regulation
- Commit or facilitate fraud, scams, or identity theft
- Engage in financial crimes, including payment fraud or chargeback abuse
- Use stolen, unauthorized, or disputed payment methods
- Operate illegal businesses or services
- Use the Services in jurisdictions where such use is restricted or prohibited
2.2 Threats, Violence, and Public Safety Risks
Strictly prohibited:
- Threats of violence, harm, or retaliation
- Bomb threats, shooting threats, or hoax emergencies
- False reports to schools, airports, hospitals, law enforcement, or public institutions
- Coordinating or encouraging harmful acts
- Intimidation of individuals, organizations, or government entities
Any activity involving credible threats or public safety risks may be escalated immediately.
2.3 Emergency Services
Callshake does not support emergency calling.
You may not:
- Attempt to contact emergency numbers (e.g. 911, 112, 999, 110, or equivalents)
- Use Callshake as a replacement for emergency communication services
- Rely on the Services in life-threatening situations
Violation may result in immediate termination without notice.
2.4 Harassment, Stalking, and Unwanted Contact
You may not:
- Harass, stalk, threaten, or abuse others
- Make repeated unwanted calls after being asked to stop
- Engage in silent calls or calls intended to disturb or intimidate
- Attempt to bypass blocking or avoidance by using multiple accounts or caller IDs
- Monitor or infer someone’s location, routines, or private behavior through call patterns
2.5 Caller ID Misuse and Impersonation
You may only use Caller IDs that you own or are explicitly authorized to use.
You may not:
- Spoof or falsify caller ID information
- Impersonate individuals, businesses, banks, government agencies, or emergency services
- Mislead recipients about your identity or intent
- Use caller ID to exploit trust or authority
Callshake may request proof of ownership or authorization at any time.
2.6 Fraud, Social Engineering, and Scams
Prohibited activities include:
- Phishing or attempts to obtain passwords, OTPs, or financial credentials
- Impersonating support agents, banks, insurers, or service providers
- Advance-fee fraud, refund scams, romance scams, or recovery scams
- Cryptocurrency scams, investment fraud, or Ponzi schemes
- Deceptive practices designed to extract money or sensitive data
Accounts associated with repeated disputes or chargebacks may be permanently banned.
2.7 Automated Calling, Spam, and Telemarketing
You may not:
- Conduct unsolicited bulk or automated calling
- Use autodialers, bots, or scripts without explicit authorization
- Engage in robocalling or mass outreach campaigns
- Violate Do Not Call registries or consent requirements
- Perform “one-ring” or callback-inducing tactics
Political, advocacy, or commercial calling must comply with all applicable laws (e.g. TCPA).
2.8 AI-Generated Voices and Deepfakes
You may not:
- Use synthetic or AI-generated voices to impersonate real individuals without consent
- Create or deploy deepfake audio for deception or fraud
- Use voice cloning for malicious or misleading purposes
- Deploy automated voice systems without required disclosures
2.9 Call Recording and Consent
You may not use the Services to record calls in any unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or unauthorized manner.
You are solely responsible for complying with all call recording, consent, privacy, data protection, telemarketing, employment, consumer protection, and industry-specific laws that apply to your calls. Applicable requirements may depend on the locations of you, the people you call, other call participants, and your business operations.
You may not: - Record a call without providing any notice required by applicable law - Record a call without obtaining any consent required by applicable law - Secretly record calls where notice or consent is required - Misrepresent whether a call is being recorded - Use recordings for harassment, intimidation, blackmail, fraud, surveillance, or other unlawful purposes - Share, publish, sell, or disclose recordings in violation of applicable law or the rights of others - Record calls involving sensitive personal, financial, health, employment, or regulated information unless you are legally authorized to do so
Callshake does not determine whether recording is lawful for any specific call and does not provide legal advice. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to call recording or your account if we believe your use of recording may violate this AUP, applicable law, or the rights of others.
2.10 Minors
Any misuse of the Services involving minors is strictly prohibited, including:
- Exploitation, abuse, or harassment
- Offensive or harmful communication
- Any activity that places minors at risk
2.11 Network Abuse and Telecom Misuse
You may not:
- Generate artificial or abnormal traffic patterns
- Engage in traffic pumping or revenue-share fraud
- Exploit rate differences or routing weaknesses
- Interfere with network operations or degrade service quality
- Use the Services in a way that violates carrier or routing restrictions
2.12 Circumvention and Evasion
You may not:
- Evade verification, risk controls, or enforcement actions
- Create multiple accounts to bypass limits or bans
- Use VPNs or proxies to conceal abusive behavior
- Misrepresent your identity, device, or location
2.13 Sanctions, Export Controls, and Restricted Use
You may not:
- Use the Services in violation of sanctions or embargoes
- Engage with sanctioned individuals, entities, or regions
- Use the Services in ways that violate export control or telecom regulations
3. Payments and Chargebacks
You must use valid and authorized payment methods.
Callshake reserves the right to:
- Suspend or terminate accounts associated with disputes or chargebacks
- Recover fees or losses caused by fraudulent payment activity
- Permanently deny service to high-risk users
Abuse of payment systems will not be tolerated.
4. Enforcement
Callshake may, at its sole discretion:
- Suspend or terminate accounts immediately
- Block caller IDs, destinations, devices, or routes
- Forfeit unused credits
- Restrict access to features
- Investigate related accounts and activity
- Cooperate with carriers, payment processors, regulators, and law enforcement
- Disable, delete, restrict, or require removal of call recordings where legally required or where we believe recordings may violate this AUP, applicable law, or the rights of others
5. Monitoring and Compliance
To protect the platform and meet legal obligations, Callshake may:
- Monitor usage patterns, call volumes, and traffic metadata
- Use automated systems to detect fraud and abuse
- Investigate suspected violations
- Retain records as required by law
Callshake does not routinely monitor call content, but may do so when required by legal process or to investigate serious abuse.

Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the current version.
